Why can a paragliding flight be postponed or cancelled?

We cancel paragliding flights when weather conditions are unfavorable. Most of the time, Saint-Leu (where we take off and land our paragliders), located in the west of Réunion island, is protected from the easterly wind known as the trade winds. This means you can paraglide almost 300 days a year! However, sometimes the wind blows too hard, or in the wrong direction (north/south), or it rains. In such cases, flights are cancelled

When should you go paragliding in Réunion?

May, June, July, August, September and October bring pleasant temperatures, and you may even be lucky enough to paraglide over the whales. In November, December, January, February, March and April, you can enjoy austral summer temperatures!

What are the minimum and maximum ages for paragliding?

From 5 years old for the youngest and up to 80-85 years old! Age is not a criterion for tandem paragliding. However, the lightest children (under 20kg) will not be able to fly, nor will the elderly who are not physically fit. In fact, a minimum level of physical fitness is required for tandem paragliding, to avoid injury during the short stride at take-off, for example

What to wear for a paragliding flight in Réunion island?

Closed-toe shoes such as sneakers or hiking boots, sunglasses (polarized if possible, to get a better view of the Saint-Leu lagoon) and a small jacket for the coldest. Réunion's climate allows us to wear t-shirts and shorts all year round
